Now we never have to babysit our daughter's child!
Press Release Regarding Scrubs Episode : May 21st, 2006
It has come to my attention that the television show Scrubs used our products in an episode that aired a week ago
as part of a sick joke. Our company was never contacted requesting permission
to use our products in the segment, and I assure you that if we were, authorization would have never been given.
At BabyCage, we don't take kindly to those who make jokes about child safety, or anything that
will harm our reputation.
CLIP CONTAINING THE OFFENDING SCENE
We have received many e-mails abhorring that we allowed Scrubs to
make a mockery of our company for publicity. Once again I assure you that this is not the case as we are vehemently
upset over this spectacle. Irreperable damage has been done to our reputation, and those responsible will be held liable.
This would have never happened if we were given the opportunity to deny use of our products. Scrubs chose to ignore
the law, leaving me no choice but to file a lawsuit
against Touchstone Television, producers of Scrubs. Along with reparations,
we demand that all future airings of the episode omit the offending scene. We the people have the power to tell NBC,
Touchstone Television and Scrubs that we do not support their morally void programming by using our remotes.
Simply don't tune in to watch Scrubs. Less people watching means less of their precious advertising revenue.
It's all fun and games with these media conglomerate types until the cash stops flowing.
Sincerely, John Willis
